2011

I have some ideas for 2011. Some things I would like to be better at, things that I would like to begin and some things that I'd like to stop. Like everyone out there I would like to be more healthy. Eat better and make better foods for my daughter. Make my bread instead of buying it. I want to exercise more. Not at the gym, but get outside more, into the woods and hike. Drink more water.
I want to be more crafty. Make more gifts instead of buying them. Make little things for Maggie. Learn to knit. I've been using my sewing machine a moderate amount lately and I want the tick of my sewing machine to be a noise that Maggie grows up with.
Read more. I read a lot, but I also watch T.V, and look on Facebook a lot too. So I'd like to substitute that latter two with more books. Read to Maggie more. Write in Maggie's journal more.
Spend more time with Cory. It's easy when you live in a rural town to stay home once you get home. But once we get home it seems like we have our own things we try to get done before bed and some how the T.V always gets turned on. We need to play more games, work in the garden and work on projects together. Actually give him a back rub once in a while. He is a wonderful person who always goes out of his way for me so it's my turn to go out of my way for him. he deserves it.
Those are just a few, Im sure I can think of a hundred more things that I'd like to change or learn or see, but I have to start small if I want to actually accomplish anything.
What are some things that you want to change or learn this year?

  1. Kelsie - these are beautiful thoughts to guide you into a new year. I especially like the ones about how you relate to those you love. Maggie and Cory are very lucky.
