I hope she always likes to dance. My sister and I grew up always dancing with our Dad. Still to this day when we go to his house we turn some music on and just dance.
Right now I'm listening to a book on tape in my car. We commute 16 miles each way to work, so this gives me some prime book on tape time but Maggie HATES it. She screams and kicks and puts up quite a fit until I put on her music and then she's happy as a clam. It's what soothes her. I love this about her, but I'm in the middle of a really good book and I can't wait until she falls asleep to switch the music to my book on tape and then drive the long way home or go explore some dirt road that I've never been down.
Cory, Maggie and I went down to the Green Frog last week to listen to some live music. Maggie could not sit still, she had to move to the music. We had to let her down so she could get up real close to the music and start dancing. It really is adorable and I love that she's not afraid to do her own thing. I wonder how many music recitals that we are going to sit through or dance performances to watch? I hope a lot!
How wonderful to have your daughter in love with music and dance! Another family legacy - this time from both sides. It's good to pass special gifts through the family. I'll bet the scene in the Green Frog made everybody smile. Elk Mama
